Kent Library Celebrating National Poetry Month with Reading
April is National Poetry Month and to celebrate poetry and diversity at Southeast, the Office of International Education & Services and Kent Library are hosting International Poetry Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, at the Kala M. Stroup Fountain on the Plaza in front of Kent Library.
The Office of International Education & Services is currently seeking volunteers who will read/recite poetry in a foreign language and then recite the poem again in English. Recitations will take place in approximately 10-minute increments throughout the event. This event is open to students and faculty, staff and community members. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Suzanne McKinney, assistant director of international programming, at email@example.com or ext. 6751.
