Transition Spaces Series - Wendy Cooper: Transition Spaces 11.3
(Fine Arts)

The photographs in this exhibit celebrate quiet moments. The artist, Wendy Cooper, has captured them as a rebellion against and escape from the bombardment of media culture. The images are metaphors for the juncture, or the synapse, in between a mental, physical or real world and that of a virtual, imaginary or remembered and dream world. The representation of these opposites through the fleeting aspects of light and shadow and the fluid aspects of water express Cooper's feeling of being in between the polarities of life.
