Art Academy Summer Half Day Workshop - Drawing Workshop for ages 6-9

Drawing Workshop – July 11-15 - Sessions 9:00-noon for ages 6-9 and 1-4:00 p.m. for ages 10-14. Students will be inspired by past and contemporary drawings and develop their drawing skills through observation and imagination while exploring a variety of media. Instructors: Beth Thomas and Brenda Seyer, both have Master Degrees in Art Education. Location: Serena Building, Room 312. Southeast Missouri State University. Fee $80. (all supplies included)
The Art Academy Summer Art Workshop is an interactive, fun learning experience using a variety of media. The student artist will gain cultural appreciation and aesthetic awareness as they find inspiration in works of art and develop their own creative thinking skills for self expression. Seven one week half day workshops are offered in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Ceramics, and Mural Making. All classes, except Mural at the Mall, are held in Southeast Missouri State University’s Art Studios under the guidance of experienced art educators. All classes are limited to 15 students. Dress for a mess! Student work will be on exhibit at the Art Council of Southeast Missouri through the month of August. Opening Reception will be held August 5th from 5-8 p.m.
