Green Art (Mixed Media) - June 6-10 from 9 a.m. - noon for ages 10-14. Do you want to help the environment? We can show you how to make art from recycled materials and Earth-friendly renewable materials. You can help the world and stand up for our environment with cool art! Instructor Emily Booth, University Art professor. Serena Building Room 312. Fee: $80 (all supplies included)
The Art Academy Summer Art Workshop is an interactive, fun learning experience using a variety of media. The student artist will gain cultural appreciation and aesthetic awareness as they find inspiration in works of art and develop their own creative thinking skills for self expression. Seven one week half day workshops are offered in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Ceramics, and Mural Making. All classes, except Mural at the Mall, are held in Southeast Missouri State University’s Art Studios under the guidance of experienced art educators. All classes are limited to 15 students. Dress for a mess! Student work will be on exhibit at the Art Council of Southeast Missouri through the month of August. Opening Reception will be held August 5th from 5-8 p.m.
