Museum Hosting 'Family Day: Think Big' Feb. 19
(Fine Arts)

The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus will host “Family Day: Think Big” from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19.

A free shuttle tour will be available for those interested in viewing and hearing a little bit of “big” history on the Emerson Bridge, the stone quarry, Little River Drainage District, Big Bend Road, KFVS tower, river wall murals and the big, old beech tree at the River Campus.

Activities for children will include a train set they can operate and a simply astounding tool that makes a small drawing become big scale.

Large scale LEGO® block sculptures will be on display through Sunday, Feb. 20, in the fine art exhibit “Nathan Sawaya: The Art of the Brick.”

This event is free and open to the public.

The Crisp Museum is located on Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus, at 518 S. Fountain, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. on weekends. For more information, visit www.semo.edu/museum/ or call (573) 651-2260.
