Invisible Children: Congo Tour
(Academic)
Some of you may remember last year's Invisible Children event. We heard testimonies from Geoffrey and Papito--two Uganda natives travelling across the country and telling their story, trying to bring awareness and support to their war-torn country.
This year, Diversity Peer Educators is at it again. Invisible Children is returning to Southeast's campus for The Congo Tour!
Here's what IC has to say about their most daring and heart-touching tour yet:
This year, we are following Joseph Kony to some of the most remote places in the world: The Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, and Sudan. Yeah, you heard right, for the first time Invisible Children is going into the battlefield to help protect and rehabilitate the most vulnerable of victims. It's our most ambitious tour yet; the biggest we've ever done. We're asking you to join us for every step of the way.
You want to be part of that don't you?
So come join us. Meet the Middle America Team. We will be hosting three roadies from Invisible Children and a Ugandan Ambassador--all who want to share their stories with you.
The merchandise store will be available for any who wish to purchase awesome items and make a donation to a great cause.
