Sundays at Three - "Sprezzature" Baroque Flute and Harpsichord
(Fine Arts)
The ensemble Sprezzatura was co-founded in Boston 2008 by harpsichordist Bethany Cencer and traverso player Paul Thompson. The esemble's Italian name derives from Castiglione's "The Book of the Courtier," where it refers to "a certain nonchalance, so as to conceal all art and make whatever one does or says appear to be without effort." Sprezzatura is known for its diverse repertoire and joyful approach to music-making.
