"Faulkner, Morrison, and Nobel: A Performance"

Southeast Missouri State University's Center for Faulkner Studies is hosting the Faulkner and Morrison Conference at the University Center on campus.

On Thursday afternoon, all day Friday, and Saturday morning, 52 scholars form 25 states and six different countries will present papers on various novels and stories by the two featured authors.

Thursday, Oct. 28, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  - presentation of papers

Thursday, Oct. 28, 7 p.m. - "Morrison's Engagement with Faulkner's Dark House" by John Duvall, professor of English at Purdue University

Friday, Oct. 29, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  - presentation of papers

Friday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m. - "Faulkner, Morrison, and Novell: A Performance," a readers' theater program scripted and directed by Dr. Roseanna Whitlow, instructor of communications studies of Southeast Missouri State University

Saturday, Oct. 30, 8 a.m. to noon - presentation of papers
