Fun fact: In 1975, state law allowed regional universities to offer graduate degrees on their own, and a Masters degree with a major in Mathematics was offered for the first time at Southeast. The first graduate degree in mathematics was awarded in 1976. Since that time approximately 100 degrees have been conferred.
History: Johnson Hall was built in 1962. It is named for B.F. Johnson, a former Chair of the Mathematics Department.
