Fun fact: Magill Hall contains a seismograph, which tracks the presence and severity of earthquakes across the Southeast Missouri Region.
History: The Magill Hall of Science, part of the science courtyard, was completed in 1958 and named after Dr. Arthur Clay Magill, the University’s long-time professor of Chemistry and Chair of the Science Department.
