Crisp Museum to Celebrate Native American Heritage Nov. 10

In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University will host an afternoon of activities highlighting the rich history of Native American culture from 1-4 p.m. Nov. 10. This event is free and fun for all ages. The “Journey through the Seasons” theme will explore the connections people have with nature’s cycles. Throughout the afternoon, visitors are encouraged to gain appreciation for experiences that may only come once a year. Hands-on activities and food tasting will be offered, and regalia displays and demonstrations will be shown. The museum is located in the Cultural Arts Center at Southeast’s River Campus, located at 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. on weekends. For more information, call (573) 651-2260 or email museum@semo.edu.
