Middle Tennessee Professor to Keynote Faulkner and Warren Conference

Dr. Patricia Bradley, professor of English at Middle Tennessee State University, will be the keynote speaker for the Faulkner and Warren Conference being hosted by the Center for Faulkner Studies Oct. 25-27 at Southeast Missouri State University.
Bradley will deliver the keynote address, “Angelic Acrobats and Fallen Southern Women: William Faulkner and Robert Penn Warren Go to the Circus,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, in the University Center Ballroom. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Bradley is the author of “Robert Penn Warren’s Circus Aesthetic and the Southern Renaissance,” published by the University of Tennessee Press, as well as numerous articles on Southern literature. She is a former president of the Robert Penn Warren Circle.
A member of the Middle Tennessee State University English faculty since 2001, Bradley previously taught at Northern Kentucky University, the University of Tennessee and in the Dickson, Tenn., public schools. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from David Lipscomb University, a Master of Arts from Austin Peay State University and a doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee.
The Faulkner and Warren Conference is the fourth bi-annual conference sponsored by the Center for Faulkner Studies. Previous conferences focused on Faulkner and Twain, Faulkner and Kate Chopin, and Faulkner and Toni Morrison.
