MTV's The Buried Life
(Lecture Series)
The Buried Life (TBL) originated in 2006 when four friends set out in an old RV to complete a list of "100 Things We Want To Do Before We Die," and help out strangers along the way accomplish something on their own lists. In mid-2008, MTV helped the team check off #53: Make a TV Show, by capturing the four in a reality show, in real time with no manipulation and no assistance from MTV, except for cameras rolling. In 2012 they completed another milestone on their list with the release of the New York Times best-selling book, What Do You Want To Do Before You Die? They work to keep it authentic to their original vision: "Simple and practical things demonstrate that, with creativity and the help of others, a person can accomplish anything, anything is possible."
Tickets are free for University students, faculty, and staff. Tickets can be picked up at the UC, rooms 202 and 204.
Tickets will be $10 for community and guests. Tickets may be purchased at the Show Me Center Box Office or www.showmecenter.biz.
