Keynote Address by Dr. Jerry Caulder, managing director of Finistere Ventures, LLC Noon Glenn Auditorium, Dempster Hall
Often referred to as the “father of agricultural biotechnology,” Dr. Jerry Caulder has an unparalleled record of success in the life sciences industry. Caulder has been involved in the formation of many local, state and national biotech industry groups and initiatives; he was also the chairman of what is now “BIO” (the major biotechnology trade association). Caulder is internationally recognized and a frequent speaker at industry forums. Caulder’s keynote presentation on Feb. 22 will be open to students, faculty and the public. Caulder will also be honored as an “Entrepreneur in Residence” for National Entrepreneurship Week. As an Entrepreneur in Residence, Caulder will be making presentations to a number of classes on campus, including selected classes in agriculture, biotechnology and entrepreneurship.
