Theatre & Dance Academy - Musical Theatre Jazz Class (9th-12th Grades)

Beginning to intermediate musical theatre jazz for students going into 9th through 12th grades. Students will focus on beginning-to-intermediate dance vocabulary using the musical theatre genre to enhance style and performance. The class will explore the musical theatre styles of Jack Cole, Bob Fosse and Twyla Tharp while dancing to famous musical theatre numbers. Each day will include a thorough warm-up, technique training and learning of original choreography. On the last day of class, students will perform for family and friends in the studio at 3:30 p.m.
